Introudction of 9 5/8" Retrievable Safety Joint
The 9 5/8" Retrievable safety joint with 10000psi working pressure is a knd of retrievable DST tools for the well testing service. 9 5/8" Retrievable safety joint is similar with RTTS afety joint in Halliburton type.
During the drill stem testing operation, the 9 5/8" retrievable safety joint is an emergency backoff equipment, but it is the optional in dst tools string. If the packer becomes stuck during testing operations, the safety joint can release the workstring and tools above the packer.
Operation of the 9 5/8" retrievable safety joint
The 9 5/8" retrievable safety joint is run immediately above the RTTS packer so that the dst tools above the packer can be removed. The tension sleeve of the safety joint located on the bottom of the lug mandrel, it must first be parted by pulling up on the tool string.
