Downhole PinPoint Injection Packer Retrievable Treating Straddle Packer
The PPI packer is a kind of retrievable packer, the full name is PinPoint Injection packer, it is designed with features of a one foot spacing between packer elements and this spacing will help to ensure that the maximum number of perforations within a long producing interval can be broken down to accept stimulation fluids uniformly. The PinPiont packer is a Halliburton packer, which is composed of a straight J-slot drag block body. The collar locator can be run either above or below the PPI packer if needed. The fluid passage through the center of the bottom packer is closed off with the retrievable plug or ball included in the conversion kit.
The PPI packer is run slightly below the required setting position to set the packer and is then picked up and rotated several turns. If the tool is on the bottom, only a quarter-turn is required. However, in deep or deviated holes, several turns with the rotary could be necessary
